The 4890 is more powerful in DX 10, but 5770 is more powerful in DX 11. Personally I'd get the 5770 for future proofing because next year is nearly here and there are some top games coming with DX11. Last point is it's cooler more power efficient and probably quieter too if the 5870's anything to go by for noise.

but the 4890 cant do dx11 so it wont be faster than anything in dx11![]()
The curious thing about DX11 is that you don't need a fully compliant graphics card for it to run. DX11 will instead run in DX10 or DX10.1 compatibility mode (or something like that). So, technically the 4890 would be running with DX11 but some of the features, such as tesselation, would be turned off.
