Any idea if the 5970 will fit in a NZXT lexa case?

Not sure if its possible to rmeove the hard drive caddy on this case?

my 9800gtx totally filled my NZXT lexa when i have (as in right up to the HDD cage)

the HDD cage is riveted in, so unless you want to drill the rivets out and put mount the HDD's in the 5.25" bays using adapters, afraid not.

Should do with the middle hard drive bay removed. The 5870 fits in my p182 easily and there was plenty of room left over.

they are already rotated so they are thinnest along the length of the case. any-how, they are riveted down to the chasis.

I know but i though if turned back 90º the card could run inside the cage a little bit. Shame about the rivets

yeah, i wasnt sure if there was a way to do it using forum code here or not.

on other forums ive been able to upload full size picture and resize it making it expandable when clicked.

ill re upload them at a lower resolution like deadman suggested.

ah got u creed, actually i re-measured (if u see the pics in my previous post) it will go inside a cm690 - just!

but for me with my mb layout it wont fit the top pcie slot because of the lip between 5.25 and 3.5 drive bays (see pics). my mb has the top pcie slot as the very top add-in card slot. i think most other mbs have a standard pci there instead so it probably wont be a problem

For what it's worth the 5970 will probably fit in an Antec Mini P180. You have to remove one of the hard drive cages though.

With the lower HDD bay left off, even with a fan mounted at the front intake vent, the graphics card can be ~14" long.

I know it fits in my antec p182 it's great i have 42cm(with the higher hard drive cage removed) of space for a graphics card.

The 5970 is two 5870 dies clocked to 5850 speeds afaik so yea absoloutely don't change

And the max resolution I'll be running is on a 24" 1920x1200... so do I really need it or should I go for the 5870 and maybe xfire later?
