Cheap Glasgow hotels?

Any idea why every hotel in the city centre is fully booked next Saturday?

Quite annoyed actually, trying to get a relatively cheap hotel online via their websites and laterooms etc...

Any hotels that are a bit off the laterooms radar that we would have better luck with?

Theres a few Premier Inn hotels available but they're all 5-10 miles outside the city centre. All the ones in the city centre are fully booked. Id stayed at the one on Argyle Street and it was quite nice. http://www.premierinn.com/pti/checkHotelAvailability.do

Aye, we were looking at that. Didn't fancy taking the car or splashing out on extortionate taxis though. Most convenient would probably be anything along the M74, still...it's a little out the way.

We stayed at the one at Hamilton when I visited my brother for a couple of days, it's only about 10 minutes away.

Not on the m74, but 2 mins from the m8 on Great Western Road is this
