WOW privet servers?

Im currently been playing on a wow privet server for the last day and finding it quite good considering to the real game trial that i played for a few days but couldnt affor the subscription fee at the end of the trial and i found on youtube a very good privet server which has been up for years.

Question is do any of you play on a wow privet server and is it ok to do so ?

I generally find private servers pretty **** tbh.

I thought it goes against something in the agreement thingy you have with Blizzard.

How long have these "privet" servers been around?
Ive never hear of them.
I know a few good private servers though.

No it's not "Okay"

WoW on private servers is shockingly bad, it's not fully scripted nor are all the mechanics implemented. For example on a private server once someone started tanking something, that was it - nobody could pull aggro.

Basically, you get what you pay for with WoW.

Private servers are usually running a couple of patches behind the official servers. And they often have huge bugs because they are trying to copy the WoW servers but can't do it perfectly. Add onto this either lag or low pop limits, and you have a very rubbish playing experience.

In short, its not worth it. Play free-to-play MMOs and save up for WoW. For £15 you can get the battlechest which has the original game and the Burning Crusade.

It is £96 a year, it does add up, and all you get at the end of the day is a buinch of pixels

I know I played it for 3 years in total probably!

+1, I pay £10.50 for my current sub. I'd be spending it on a game costing £20+ otherwise.

people don't realise, thinking spending £9 a month on a game is ridiculous but will then go spend £40 on a brand new game.
