Its something thats pretty close to my heart as one of my cousins was forced to go to pakistan by her dad and mum to get married...she didnt want to so was told to go there for a summer vacation which she agreed to...when she got to Pakistan she was taken to one of her dads uncles house...where they tied her up, beat her silly then tried to pour acid onto her face...luckily they untied and she managed to wriggle free before she majorly damaged but she did get burnt pretty badly.

Shes had cosmetic surgery to fix her face...i helped her pay for that and she went to America to get away from her mum and dad and good on her...we ie my family no longer talk to this particular aunt and uncle...in fact no one in the family talks to them, they are outcasts and have went back to Pakistan to rot away.

Thats not Islam, its your country thats messed up. Pakistan is just messed up, even the government don't have control, and they have nukes.

There isnt a single day I check the news to see Pakistan in the news again up to no good.

Wow you must lead a very sad life if you check the news to see if Pakistan have made the news lol...personally yes Pakistan is messed up and theres not a lot that can be done...Pakistan govt want to appease the Americans by fighting the war on terror meanwhile their citizens are getting more and more peed off with their lack of control domestically.

Saying that i still enjoy my yearly jaunts over to Pakistan...notwithstanding the govt i always end up having a fantastic time with family over there...just a shame that the country is in such a shambles:(.

I read national , international affairs and financial news that effect the current messed up world we live in.

I like to make sure am with it... You will learn when you grow up my son ;)

Pakistan is last on the list, but it does come up

Don't know why Islam got brought into this thread - IIRC Islam specifically prohibits infanticide.
 
Its a sure sign of disfuntional thinking within a society to do things like that on a regular basis. The perpetrators of these acts are playing out what they view as society's norms, if the power to be killed them for doing it it would stop over night. These people need to try a drunken saturday night out of the pull to get over the rejection complexes.
 
Most cultures have weird stuff, only 100 years ago they used burn women here coz they thought they were witches
 
A case of status over humanity, hope the parents rot in jail.

It seems in pakistan money and status come above all more often than not. And cruel things happen when people forget about their fellow person. Women are seen as objects.
Hate backward cultures like that.

It's got nothing to do with religion, it's to do with culture.

its bad enough just reading about stuff like that but to know someone so close to you damn...sickening.
could she have not reported her parents to the police and got something done to them ?

The year we enacted the old age pension we also burnt some witches?
