TBH before I got it I wasn't too sure how the lack of dedicated servers would effect me. But now fully understand peoples concern, I like the game but the Online Multiplayer is really bugging me now :(

I like Ground War but that seems to be the worst (because of the extra couple of players I guess).. it takes a while to get a game, then you get excited when you see the game is going to start in 9,8,7,6,5,4,3,2.. but then it removes half players ans starts the process again, repeat that a couple of times, finding best host... back to menu.

You'll get a few good games but it's hit or miss how good it will be.

Yes I haven't really looked into it yet but it seems like the same except you keep your titles and emblems. You get 3 confirmation screens before you enable it so you're absolutely sure since theres no going back. I'm used to using the ACR with holo sight so going back to the ma41 with no attach kinda sucks!
 
Really hate the kill streaks with the fighters or helicopters, so OP, can get like 30 kills in a row with them. Wish there was a mode that didnt have them.

Also, im level 20 now and only just played a map i hadnt played before, stupid matchmaking :D

I have a load out that carries a stinger, which I switch to when killed by a chopper/plane.

I don't think I played on Quarry till I was lvl 25 ish! Keep getting High Rise, it's starting to get annoying.
 
Beyond the hype and stuff that accompanies these games, the games it self is very poor. Same old use any explosive to kil owt. It bull nades are to freely available they should be restricted to a perk even m203 should be removed until you reah top rank but then you only get one nade at the expense of some thing else.
My gripe aint nades being used its how they are allowed to be used. you shouldnt be allowed to use a heat seeker as a nade against a soldier its wrong
m203 should only be used against a sandbag emplacement not against a soldier in the back. We also need a spawn time being kiled on spawn is not clever so I don't get why this has't been addressed.
If you feel im wrong please explain why!
 
One thing that bugs me is that there is only tdm and s&d available in hc mode.

i really dont like playing "spray everywhere using stopping power arcade mode"
 
How do i get "friends" on here, my steam account name is thesmileyone2009, just want to play with ocuk members on mw2! im in the ocuk group but theres like, 170 members online at once, so cant invite them
 
just came across my first cheater today

the map was wastelands domination

watching the kill cam the player was aim and tracking me while he was behind some bushes
he couldn't see anything

just aimed and shot

his name was "cstrike.exe"

he ended the map 33 - 8

Yep me and a mate came across two cheaters on the same 'server' clearly they knew each other as they hung around one another. They also tracked player movements perfectly, one even admitted to doing it. Is there some way to find out who is hosting the game, and has the ability to kick?
 
It is a bit silly if i get picked as host its dual pistol time - because the ping advantage is ridiculous.

Im no where near as good at FPS gaming as i used to be Host advantage is sick

It does feel like some people are cheating sometimes but i dont think they are. Remember the UAV is godlike - combine that with the ultra ****ty 200ms+ pings and bunny hopping noob tubers. (ok well deffo a few )

Some maps and game modes are interesting - get out of the death matches and head to domination and sabotage - so much more depth (tho still ultra shallow)

I am soooo crap compared to some people i play with i dont knwo how they do it.

I hope they do get round to dedicated servers after a few months when all the hypes gone. im not sure id be bothered to play this tho in a month or 2 once you have unlocked everything (maybe a week at the rate im going haha)

Yup, im fed up hopping in and out of modes to posibly get a map to play on that i like. I dunno if its just me but gameplay today in most of my games has been incredibly laggy with the game hitching quitea bit, you'll sorta freeze for maybe 2 secs with looping audio like the gmaes crashed then it continues on, and of course when it does some scrub is or has nailed you...
 
I'm still enjoying it. The problems of the last few days with getting games online seem to be fixed now, had trouble free games all night, and very fun games at that.

I think this will definitely keep me interested until early next year when BFBC2 comes out.
 
I'm loving this, even if just to level up my weapons. HAd a few good games with some strangers though, but also had a lot of "noob" and "flag" slingers.

Having trouble getting on now, anyone else getting the same?

that experience with the cheater has completely put me off the game and the general crappyness of IWNet like not being able to pick your map, the lag, p2p

pretty much all of it
