I played Battlefield BC 2...... and

Already seen a fair few bunny hoppers on the BC2 beta...

Its a good game, not great but with what Ive played of it so far it has a lot of potential on the PC platform. I think thats what the OP is getting at, transposing the PS3 game on the PC as it is will make a mediocre game, tweaking it for the PC audience will make it a MP favourite...

ps3ud0

Its not the same in the videos. There is absolutely no AA at all. Of course it could just be the beta. The textures are really low res as well tbh. Again hopefully just to keep the download size down.

Clearly the pc version will have high res textures and AA

Don't be such a drama queen, you would boycott such a great looking title because you can't use bizzare twitchy techniques that only make the game more frustrating for other players? The less bunny hopping and dolphin diving the better. It might be good for you, but seeing other people jumping and spazzing about mid air just looks ridiculous and really distracts from the epic battles that only BF can offer.

Granted, I wish they hadn't removed prone and just made dolphin diving impossible, but oh well.

Agreed, its slightly pathetic to say the least that gamers always have to find some glitch to whore out, it just starts a chain reaction then before you know it everyones doing it. It amazes me that graphics are getting better and better yet people still rely on tactics that make the game look a complete farce.

Apparently playing the game properly is too much for some people. Im glad that after bf2 and 2142 dice seemed to say enough is enough and removed it entirely, and people complaining about it have no one to blame but themselves.

Agree'd , well said

Been playing this a lot and thinking its going to be one epic game, however I do have one small issue, the amount of damage people can take, its near impossible to kill some-one with a pistol, and unless you get a headshot with a M24 it always takes 2 shots and if you use the next sniper gun which you unlock (forget the name) they can take 5/6 shots at range, really frustrating.

I've found the pistol ok so far, maybe its the connection you've had at times ? Can generally take down someone with the pistol in 4-5 shots, which seems reasonable to me. Although there has been times when I've fired a clip into someone and no damage has registered, which I've just put down to lag.

As far as sniper rifles go, killing with one shot has always seemed unfair as far as I'm concerned ( dont get me started on the people that use the rocket launcher / shotgun combo, who try to spam you with the rocket first... ), so if it takes 2 shots then it might stop teams being full of k/d whores.

What a ridiculous thing to say. In Battlefield 2, my favourite thing to to was to go as a sniper, run close to an enemy base, go prone in some trees and snipe the other team. I've never 'dolphin dived' or whatever it's called, so am I supposed to blame myself as well? What about bunny hopping? People exploit jumping to their own ends as well, are you hoping DICE will say enough is enough and remove that in Battlefield 3?

Fact is most people that are annoyed about this will be the people that used to bounce around the map. Ive no problem with people using prone properly, but the simple fact is bf2 and 2142 were plagued with people springing about the place and generally just abusing it.

next theyll remove shooting from fps games as its unfair to the people who cant shoot you :D

this is the most annoying thing in war fps games a lot of people arnt happy until they have camo on sitting in webbing in there living room  its a game not a real war :D bunny hopping or jump shooting which is what it is really is part of fps gaming. just as dolphin diving is and other stuff like LEAN :p

all your doing is everytime features like mentioned are taken out is making it one step closer to a joypad :(

demo soon so ill have a play for free first anyways.

Id imagine theres a bit of a difference between a legit "tactic" like leaning around a corner, compared to people bouncing around the map like they've got a jackhammer shoved up their ass. Prone has its place but not the way its been implemented in past bf games.

I remember watching a video of the top ranked bf2 player at the time and ALL he did to move around was prone spam constantly, the guy never walked once he was just moving around the map like a complete tard. Games may be games but by implementing things like bullet drop over distance its obvious theyre aiming for the game to be that bit more realistic.

Fact, people exploit games, always have done and always will do. All you do by removing a certain feature that most people enjoy having is make people use something else to exploit. The fact that you couldn't prone on Bad Company felt awful and I'm shocked that they haven't implemented it in Bad Company 2.

Everything just looks so so sweet, people get shot properly and you can kill sum1 quicker, the recoil is more realistic and you cant just hip fire every shot. if they are at a distance you must pick your shots, hit boxes are spot on.

What do you mean, get shot properly?
And whilst we're on the subject of gore, can you do me a favour and fire a rocket at someone's face. Do they just fall over?

Well there was obviously enough people annoyed about how bf2 and 2142's infantry combat was affected by prone spammers that it simply got removed. Dice tried to fix it a few times but they always found a a way around it.

Weird... I've been playing Modern Warfare 2 online nearly everyday since release and haven't seen one person 'prone spamming'.....
