Yeah, that seems to be the case.

I thought he was serious, so was playing along to look hip yo. I even searched on Urban Dictionary, and didn't find a fitting description there. A rather amusing one about surprise finger insertion, but nothing more fitting.
 
When I went to university down in the south of England, everyone used to mock my crappy accent.

End result - I got a few laughs and learnt how to speak better English :)

I wondered how tight money was at ITV when they slashed their bulletins and presenters, but since they are paying £160,000 per year for regional talking heads I guess these must be hard times all round. </sarcasm> :rolleyes:
 
Do we know what he was saying when he was mimicking Trevor McDonald, if he was saying things like 'I ain't be goin' a cotton picking momma' that would be deemed as intentionally racist, if he was simple saying 'Welcome to the news at 10, im Trevor McDonald' then thats not a racist slur, simply an impression of another man with a different accent.
