I played Battlefield BC 2...... and

next theyll remove shooting from fps games as its unfair to the people who cant shoot you :D

this is the most annoying thing in war fps games a lot of people arnt happy until they have camo on sitting in webbing in there living room  its a game not a real war :D bunny hopping or jump shooting which is what it is really is part of fps gaming. just as dolphin diving is and other stuff like LEAN :p

all your doing is everytime features like mentioned are taken out is making it one step closer to a joypad :(

demo soon so ill have a play for free first anyways.

Personally i think its excellent that the divings gone, heres hoping the bunny hoppings limited to just a foot or two as well. Call me old fashioned, (and believe me I am) but I like to play my games properly which is very hard to do when you fire over a short distance to an enemy just to have some usually barely pubescent turd jumping around spraying bullets everywhere then flopping to the floor from mid jump to finish you off.

If that means the dolphin flopper's and bunny hoppers don't buy it then GREAT, best gaming news I've had all year.

Simple solution, make prone slow to use so its useless for retarded proning but fine for snipers etc. and add a stamina meter so you can't keep jumping around and constantly bounce around a map.

Jesus some times it used to take forever to down someone in bf2 with the dire hit detection, thats what put me off from playing in the end. Yes my aim fine

Last time I played BF2 was around 3 years ago using the Project Reality mod, so I could be looking back on it with rose tinted specs.

Anyway its slightly quicker to kill than in 2142 ( which I remember you recommending to me in another thread ) so use that for a comparison instead.

BC2 has a stamina bar already. I've only noticed it draining when sprinting around though. No idea if jumping reduces it as well, as I don't do it very much at all.

Quite simply what I am saying is bunny hopping, dolphin diving and all those other ridiculous "skills" belong in games where it doesn't look completely out of place (that will be your quake or TF2 or whatever). BC2 will be a far superior and immersive experience without all that rubbish. Dice invites the likes of you and your kind to convert or go elsewhere.

Dolphin diving support players with the PKM when it was as accurate as a sniper rifle make me agree with you :).

99% of all other FPS games develops mange to ultilize such code to prevent Dolphin diving. Surely DICE could have fixed that, no Prone is pretty lame.

If your getting shot and need cover your pretty much screwed, but by the sound of thing you can survive half a mag of ammo so I guess you have time to shoot back.

This game will frustrate me somewhat and take the fun out of it. Will beta it now on the PS3 and PC when it comes about.

From what ive seen 3-4 rounds is generally enough to kill someone if you hit their upper torso.
