Asking out a girl at college

Given such circumstances I would imagine it to be an unenforced policy. Go for it but don't make it obvious to someone who might have to intervene like a welfare officer or disciplinary dean.

i wouldnt do it, im teaching as experience at college for my degree and i nearly never got in as the tutor thought i was going out with one of the students (who i am friends with)

the only thing differant i can see is that its slightly differant seeing as its the cafe, is this cafe actualy ran by the college itself?

At the end of the day its down to the management, i know tutors who are married and some who are going out that work in the same college.

Are you on probation? ....

I wouldn't do it, working at a school/college you are supposed to honour a position of trust. That includes excluding relationships with students.

Just go for it, whats the worse that can happen? She says no and literally laughs in your face and proceeds to tell most of the college about how the café worker had the audacity to ask her out and every kid you serve from now on in the café takes the mick out of you constantly and relentlessly until you have to quit your job just to get away from the cruel taunting which puts you into a life of spiralling debt, misery and misfortune... or she says yes and its the horizontal monster mash time :D
