Best iPhone deal hot off the press?

I'm about to finally get an iPhone 3GS (probably 32gb) in the next couple of weeks. What is the best deal out there right now for contract users? Don't mind paying a bit extra per month or for phone itself if O2 is still the most recommended provider now others are on the scene... (is it?)

I believe 02 deals are still the better one out of the two. However, the Orange network has a far better data network then 02 (just look at the Ofcom guides). However, the other choice is to wait a month to see what deals Vodafone are going to bring to the table.

might tie in well as i'm about to come to the end of contract with vodafone.....

...i know people were complaining that orange would "personalise" the iphone too much and make it orange-centric. Would this be a problem (maybe with vf too) and make o2 a preferable option?

Oh right, I thought the iPhone just came as normally. I wasn't aware of any network customisation on it. However, if any one who has recently taken an iPhone on Orange could confirm that please?

Given that the Orange deals are nigh identical to the O2 deals, I can't imagine Vodafone will fare much better.

I'm planning to get a PAYG Iphone and then get a one month rolling contract. It probably won't work out much cheaper, but it'll save me getting tied into a long contract.

There's no Orange branding on my 3GS.

And the contracts themselves are damn near identical, so i'd go for Orange as they have the better data coverage.

That's probably going to be the case, but they may have a suprise.

OP. If your on Vodafone at the moment is probably worth waiting till Vodafone release their iPhone deals. :D

Are the 16GB and 32GB the same phone except for the storage capacity?

I was thinking about buying the 16GB on a PAYG with orange then sticking my contract sim in it. Works out about 450inc delivery.

Went into cpw, deals are almost the same, saw one price difference.

Orange have better signal etc.

If you have contract coming up with anyone, try to bargain, coming on vodafone in 2010

Looking at the 2 providers Orange seems to provide more texts and minutes on the £30.00 contract.

Orange 150 mins & 250 Texts
O2 75 Mins & 125 Texts.

I know 2 people that have Orange iphone 3gs and its no different to the normal one on o2, it doesn't look like they are messing with them atm.

Tesco are apparently lining up to sell the iphone too - will be interesting to see what they come up with :)
