What are the issues with unlocked 02 iphones?

I know a lad who has a BRAND NEW one for sale at a very good price (half retail) and am tempted. Its new but hes unlocked it (was with 02).

Will be putting in my orange pay monthly sim onto it.

- Is the warranty void?
- Any known problems?
- Any issues?

Should i buy or walkaway?

Half retail? Receiving stolen goods ahoy!

Also, not sure we can talk about Iphone unlocking here. You certainly can't talk about jailbreaking.

Well i wouldnt have very good mates if i didnt get a good deal!

You what??

Anyhow dont think you will have any issues if the phones been unlocked and reading the apple forums it seems like Apple are allowing or is it O2. Warranty wise i suppose as long as you have a receipt then your ok, without one i dont know if Apple will even look at it.

the joys of seeing posts before they have been edited

"Geez learn to use some proper grammar FFS" was what you originally put.....

Id buy it, If you know the guy just test your sim first to check he unlocked it.
O2 offers a Free unlock now which is 100% legit and does not void anything. (We did all our iPhones)

The only thing you will regret is not having an unlimited data plan. Its worth every penny in my opinion, I use that more than calls and texts by far.

Well it took 3 days when the service first launched on the 10th although it says up to 14 days on the site.

Just google "O2 iPhone unlock". Should find all the details you need.

Just guessing but I would not think its a PAYG, more like a new phone upgrade on a pay monthly contract renewal and he is not going to use the new phone so selling it and keep the original when he first got the contract.
