Street Fighter (SFIV, SSFIV, HDR)

Everyone in the comments section reckons Rolento, because the background looks like his stage from Alpha series. Hoping it is someone else though.

:( Given up on XP, it was a nightmare and randomly minimised SFIV, among other problems, so I've installed it on my Vista partition.

Problem is now, I've lost my save game :(

I tried copying the 'CAPCOM' folder from my documents on XP into my documents on Vista, but no joy.

Any better ideas?? :(

You need to copy the actual save file rather than the folder.

e.g. mine is at My Documents\CAPCOM\STREETFIGHTERIV\e00001c077762f9d\save.dat

the e00001c077762f9d is 'unique' to each installation, so your XP save folder will have a different name to the vista save folder.

So if your Vista sf4 installation is new and has no data you want, then delete everything under My Documents\CAPCOM\STREETFIGHTERIV (make sure your orig save file is backed up safely elsewhere). Then create a new save file, which should create a new folder under My Documents\CAPCOM\STREETFIGHTERIV. eg My Documents\CAPCOM\STREETFIGHTERIV\e000000000000123. Copy your old save file into that folder and see if it works. Make sure you copy rather than move it there though, in case it corrupts your save file :p

Worked a treat :)

Spent a while unlocking Seth today too....

So. all characters unlocked, stick built.... no more excuses, seems I might have to admit I suck at this game!!!! :(

Not too excited about the added characters in SSFIV but some of the game modes at least look pretty good :)

Should have guessed they'd add Adon as he is fighting Sagat in his opening scene
