what cases would take the new 5970

just watched a couple of vids on this it's a beast 13.5 inches long
are there any standard cases out there that will fit it without it clashing with the HDD's or needing modification (would the antec 1200 or the coolermaster storm (sniper) fit this humongous beast my micro atx case is only 15 inches long lol

I'D be a little worried about those rear heat exhausts blowing all that hot air just 1 inch away from your HDD surely that will conflict with front fans the 5970 blowing it out then a front fan blowing it all back in( unless you made the front fans exhausts but then you'd have no HDD cooling

Stoopid size card IMO only a hanful of full size towers will fit it by the looks of things
 
I've not seen more than they show but there's the psu and at least one other fan in the front.

It's interesting. Full size coolers, full size cards, no room to swing a molex... Sardines in there. I'd love to see temp readings.

yeah me too especially if ur running a pair in crossfire

probably end result would be the first full english breakfast cooked by a pc LOL:D
 
Nah,

I'm expecting temps to be notably over a less cramped case but it shouldn't be bad. It just doesn't have one main airflow path, but several small ones.

If you look at the CPU it takes air in from one side then 90 degrees and a little further around it comes out again. Short path. Same with the GPUs the other side.

thinking about getting a antec 1200 and installing my micro atx in there until i can make my mind up and get the funds together for a gaming build saying that tho still not sure if the 1200 will take the 5970 lol
