You would think with their history that the Isrealis would be better at genocide yet the Palestinian population is going up and not down. If some austrian bloke can manage 6m in five years whilst fighting a war on multiple fronts you would think they could manage 4m in sixty years and yet they can't even match the birth rate. Rubbish at this genocide thing these Isrealis aren't they?

Hence the word attempted. I'm not really sure whats holding Israel back, but I suppose if they actually did wipe Palestine off the face of the earth the international community might actually do something about their behaviour.

Pretty poor attempt if the population is actually rising. You would think that maybe you would see a small drop at least if they were attempting genocide. Or are they just really rubbish at it?

Alternatively using the word genocide may just be emotive hyperbole? :)
