To die by your side......
Basically, in my uni room, I have put up posters with blu-tak. I also use blu-tak to hang up coursework that I need to do. Basically, after taking one down, the bit of wallpaper came off with the blu-tak, it has done this twice. I know how ****y landlords are and how they basically see the deposit at theirs, I was wondering how costly and where I would be able to buy paint that matched the wallpaper cover as I know the landlord wouldn't notice this as the wallpaper is pish anyway.

Obviously had I known this, I wouldn't have put so much bloody blu-tak on the walls, but I didn't think ahead, and now I face the prospect of the landlord potentially claiming he will need to re-wallpaper the entire room:mad:

Got to admit I had a similar problem so I pritt sticked the wallpaper back on and used a crayon to match the colour :D

Ahh student life

Go to B&Q and get a tester pot that matches. They were only a few quid last time I saw them.

Do they take details? i.e. if the tester pot isn't enough, then when a different staff member is present I would be able to get more :p

Also, thanks for solving my problem to everyone that did :)

They're just pots that are located on the same aisle as the paint, specifically for people to test on their walls before they commit to a colour. You just buy them like anything else, plus one will do quite a lot. They're about 75ml I think and have a brush attached to the inside of the lid.

i take it the wallpapers not got a design on it... tbh it's going to be pretty difficult matching paint to paper colour, the difference between the two will probably end up the same as the difference between the stained blu tack bits and the paper.

Just buy a pot of colour that roughly resembles the room colour and paint the whole room when you move out, paint+roller+brush should only cost £10-15, however if you try and match colours and get something mixed it will cost a lot more.

That solution would obviously be ideal, but i can't get the wallpaper out of the blu-tak, at least not in one peice, which means i am always going to have obvious missing peices of wallpaper. I will try B+Q though, just need to locate my nearest one :)
