new powersupply for new rig :D

hey i got a asus m3a79-t deluxe mobo with a amd phenom 2 x4 955 black edition @3.2 ghz and i need a power supply, any ideas??

this is a build that i will be doing as my xmas pressy i will be putting a ati 4850 gpu in this rig.

need the psu to have:

- fan
- enough amps to cover a ati 5770
- enough cables for crossfire ( just 2 not 4 but my mobo supports it )
- would like modular
- under 110 (GBP )

i will look at all the psu's and decide which one has the best performance to price ratio and i will be ordering it next week.

The Corsair HX 650W should be plenty for your needs.
Comes in well under budget too.
Or you could go upto the 750W model (just in budget) if you wanted a bit more "OMPH"

This it's cheaper and easily as good as the Corsair, if not a tad better

£17 cheaper, Should be quieter due to the 80mm fan vs the 120mm fan, Nice find, Looking for a higher rated PSU.

Why would you say it is (a tad) better than the corsair ?

I'd still go for the corsair, the antec looks more like a semi modular because all the molex come straight from the PSU and aren't detatchable

They are pretty even, the corsair is slightly more efficient and makes less noise, bigger fans spin slower than smaller fans to produce the same level of airflow. Saying that the Antec isn't loud. Either one is a great PSU.
