Steam, 50% off Arkham Asylum (plus a few others)

I've spent ages trying to get the DFP to work. The G25 seems to have more success, I don't know why.

The problem with the wheel is it's not responsive enough, you can't change direction quickly enough (maybe the G25 is better for this), and if you tweak it, it still behaves like a controller joystick compared to a wheel. I can never get as fast as I can with a 360 pad. I think the arcadey fashion which is required of driving (to be fast) does not lend itself to the smooth movements of a wheel.

Yeah i agree with that. What i did to try and overcome that was to adjust the degree of rotation in the logitech profiler, so you had to move the wheel less to get the same effect. But still like you said, the wheel is probably more suited to sim type games :)

Batman AA is 99% playable on PC with keyboard + mouse - infact they've done a very good job mostly in that regard - but annoyingly theres a couple of places where its quite hard without a controller...

Some of the boss fights you kinda need 3 hands - or some creative thinking with your keybinds... and theres one bit where it pulls the viewpoint out to a platform perspective as you exit a section and the last 20 seconds are really hard to control with keyboard + mouse... I did have to borrow a 360 controller for that one bit but your mileage may vary. Theres also a few parts played in platformer type perspective which are probably easier on controller but not too bad on keyboard + mouse.

All in all they really put some thought into the controls for PC just a shame a couple of small sections seem to have slipped through play testing.

im going to have to get it :p

Tempted by Arkham...

Random question, but does anyone know if the steam version includes LIVE! achievements?

Quite sure they do. I have Fallout 3 on Steam and all I do is load up Live and steam and the same time. The funny thing for me is that I've already completed most of the achievements on Fallout 3 for 360, but using the same gamertag it's adding even more gamerscore to my tag by letting me complete the same achievements again on the PC version! :p

Just bought the THQ Super muster cluster pluster mega pack.

Wanted to get RF : guerilla, which would have cost me circa £20 anyway, so might as well get about 15 other games for an extra fiver.

Deal of all deals that.

Cheers for that killswitch, I've done the same with Fallout 3, sad isnt it :D

Might aswell give Arkham a go then for £15.

You're welcome mate. :)

And nooo, not sad at all.:p
It's such a great game that I reckon it deserves being played through twice, double the gamerpoints too. :D

GRID is tempting..
When played through steam is the game profile saved to the account? Or to the pc?

Should be in your Steam folder, you can back up the saves if needs be. By the way, it's a great game on the PC, especially with a 360 pad and it's definitely worth the tiny asking price. :)

Damn I'm addicted to steam deals....

40 notes gone for THQ complete+farcry2+grid

Edit: Okay I think I need to order a new HDD now :p

Thanks. Yeah, I 'have' GRID so yeah i'm gonna get a proper version. Just that when i reinstalled it i couldn't get the saved profiles to work :( Should have no problems with steam though.
