Having owned a 4870, a GTX 260 and GTX 280 I would take either of the Nvidia cards any day.

The 4870 was hot, loud fan, capacitor squeal, then you have the hassle of ATi drivers.

I got a Gainward 260 and its been excellent so far and has great performance for the price.

Odd choice - the 5770, 4890, or GTX260-216 are all better all-round cards.

Depends on the price you got it for though.

At least you don't have the hassle of nVidia's drivers though.
