195/60 R15 is a real awkward size. Lots of 'performance' tyres etc. just arent available. I have considered dropping to 55, can't see it making a huuuuuge difference? Speedo inaccuracy I guess, can mess up ABS aswell but my car doesn't have it anyway.

Anyway, any recommendation for tyres in Bristol? I like somewhere where you can actually have a chat with someone beforehand and feel like they know what they're on about, and obviously with competitive pricing! Bell in Swindon are great for me so I might just wait until I go home for Christmas and use them again.

You are not really going to get that, just like if you go to Sainsburys the guy on the till doesnt know about the food he is selling you. Tyre fitters often pretend to know what they are talking about but at the end of the day they fit tyres they don't test them back to back on a control car.

Most of the time 'What tyre is best for me?' is interpreted by the tyre fitter as 'Which tyre do you sell which will give you the biggest margin?' anyway.
 
Le bump.

I need new tyres on my focus. 205/55/R16.

Has some bridgestone somethings on there at the moment, not sure what to get. Don't wanna be paying tooo much, but am prepared to pay more than £30 ;)- I don't want ditchfinders. Since it's going to be somewhat wet/cold... I always have something decent on my wheels, but it's not exactly a performance car. (it's a Wheezel).

Any thoughts of where to go to buy online? Whatever the recommendation
