Recently just moved into a new flat and my BT land line was just activated earlier today. Was planning on going for O2 premium but after popping in my number on their website, I can only get the Access package.

I checked Samknows and my exchange is enabled for O2/Be LLU so surely I should be able to get Premium?

Phoned up and I'm apparantly out of the area..

Might just go with access, my girlfriend has an O2 mobile contract and I was just wondering if i'd be eligable for the discount? It asks for an O2 mobile number which then gets texted a discount code you enter when purchasing the broadband. Will it still be all in my name? Just wondering if anyone has any experience with this!

don't sign up with o2 access. just read the zillions of threads on these very forums moaning about it. it really is a terrible service.

I have the LLU and its a pretty good service, I've heard nothing but bad things about O2 Access though.

this......

they'll just take the money and leave you with a rubbish connection, just need to check the o2 forums for the posts that havent been deleted yet to see how bad it is :(.

Say NO to o2 Access. It's horrible.

Maybe it might take some time for the o2 site to see your line activation for LLU. I don't think it is a live checker. Tried checking the be site to see what that says?

I just noticed this thread, and that you're in Aberdeen.

Its a bit strange up here, all the main Aberdeen exchanges went live last month, I signed up immediately. I then checked a few days later and none were offering the LLU package any more. They must all be full up!
Checked again this week, and some of the outer exchanges are accepting new connections, but the central ones still were not.

I'm just glad I got in when I did!

Bit of a bump, but randomly decided to check again on the O2 website, seems I can now get the proper packages :). Post Office ( :o ) = cancelled. O2 = ordered :D.

Now the traffic management has kicked in o2 access is back to being great, pings and downloads are excellent.

I hope it stays that way :)
