195.62 nvidia drivers released whql cert

I'm having terrible problems with these. I am on beta 195.39 (Windows 7 X64) and if I install the 195.62 WHQL as I always do over the top when I reboot the driver installation is gone. I`m at 800 x 600 screen with no Nvidia drivers installed. If I install again same thing.

I have a system restore back to 195.39 so no problem getting it back.

Only thing not tried yet is uninstalling 195.39 completely. However drivercleaner does not work it bombs out when trying to do the remove. Is there a Windows 7 x64 driver cleaner working ?

Going to try uninstalling 195.39 via control panel as normal then installing 195.62.

At moment I`m stuck on 195.39 beta, although this could be the problem I`m having 195.62 does not like installing over these.

These drivers stopped several of my games from working, they were meant to fix bugs in NFS Shift, but instead, the game would no longer run!!

Same with GTAIV, it would lock up on me as soon as my game loaded..

Went back to the previous driver I was using, and now everything is back to normal again.

if the game can't run then there can't be any bugs in it :D
think i'll keep clear of these for a while then

I don't know if it has something to do with me installing these drivers over the top of my previous ones, but I have never had any issues installing drivers like this in the past, I have been doing this for years without a single issue, so my guess is that these drivers are dodgy..

I might try them again later, but this time I'll remove the old ones completely first, but I doubt this will make any difference..

Well I guess it is normally advised to completely remove old drivers before installing new ones but I'm the same as you, never had any problems installing over them. Perhaps they did just mess up the drivers again, wouldn't be the first time...

I always install right over the old ones. Just done that with these over the old 195.55 whql and looks like the GPU idle clocks are fixed which is nice.
