MTB Pedals

Guilty :D

V12 mags may be a little bit overkill, but decent pedals make a huge difference. I hate riding cheap pedals that you cant trust to give good grip.
You can get V8s for <£20, might be worth a look?

I agree entirely. I used to run V8s on at least 2 different bikes and now I run mx30s over V12s due to the state DMRs get in after a while. I wouldnt spent silly money on a pedal such as those nuke proofs or burgtecs but £40-60 for a decent sealed bearing pedal is a good price. I fancied soljam vipers when I got my mx30s.

Grippy pedals mean you will have shins as bad as mine though :p

Assuming you ride a commencal, have you snapped it yet?

No. Its a meta, not a DH bike though, so it doent really get too much abuse.
I have taken it down a couple of more dh style tracks around inverness and was really surprised how good it felt over some of the rough stuff, but that doesnt happen often as i have a stinky for that.

Do they have a reputation for snapping?

Know of two people who ride full sus metas......one being the full on DH bike and the otehr a 5.5 or something? Both of them have snapped/cracked at least 1 and one of them possibly 2.

Also know a boy who had a hardtail one who snapped that and ended up back on an orange hitman.

*gets scared and goes to check it for cracks*

I havn't had any problems with it really. Only really used it for 2-3 months in summer tho. Havnt been on it since i moved back down to glasgow in september need to get a new bb for it first.

I don't imagine you would to be honest. I guess they are just hard on bikes even though they are not big guys. One has moved on to a socom now anyway.
