Numpty robs £25k from Local bank and runs to his house, opposite

Yup. I can't tell you how it works or any more than that though. :)

Pretty smart system. If the contents are insured then surely it'd be wise to have some kind of system whereby the container can be inked remotely? I.e. as soon as the guard calls it in stolen, or even a system where the guard can do it himself. I think that would be the ultimate deterrent from ever thinking about stealing from a van.

Any do you really think Christopher Walker was thinking of the deterrents and problems of his robbery during his long hours of planning this audaciuous heist? :p :D

If you mean remote activation it's entirely feasible that some security companies use it already.

So does the dye go off if you disk cut your way through the box? How does it work?

* Isn't planning to rob a security van is just interested

My mother in law is a forensic scientist. They once had a case to do with some people who had tried to open a cash box in a parked car. They had to re-enact it themselves to see what happened, so they sat in a car and hacked one of the boxes open. Paint everywhere, hilarity ensues. Apparently the amount of smoke from the bomb was horrendous.

lol, I went to school with a lad who robbed a post office. Although he wore a balaclava both him and his acomplise had been in the shop half an hour before wearing the same clothes. Oh and they were regulars in the shop.

I thought it was a good effort dude, much better than people just posting a link and that's it. I enjoyed the read :)

Well thanks! I appreciate that.

If he's stupid enough to hide in his house opposite then he needs locking up for a bit longer surely...

I think it was probably seen as a last ditch resort for a desperate man rather than a well thought out criminal activity. He's stupid, sure, but not really a hardened criminal, he just commited a crime which he instantly felt remorse over.

Perhaps now he'll see that the grass isn't greener on the inside. HAHA, cause he cut grass! Get it!?! Rofflelfmfmao!

Yes they used to make a heck of a mess! Dye is less of an issue now - and if you look into smar****er it's even more fascinating.
