ASUS or Gigabyte i7 ?

I run the Gigabyte UD5 and not had any problems, got my i7 upto 4ghz with no trouble. can't comment on the Asus I'm afraid.

+1 for the Gig as i not had any problems and -1 for Asus as i needed to contact there customer support alst week and good god there prob the worst i dealt with in years!

I went from a UD5 to Asus P6Tv2 Deluxe and found the Asus to be better, not hand any problems with it. I had numerous problems with my UD5.

Not sure how working case fan control with Gigabyte boards, all my fans in current rig are controlled with motherboard – with AI tune, Fan expert.. and they are very quiet, Will be possibility do similar with Gigabyte ?

I still read about people having cold boot issues with some of the gigabytes.

That said im sure they are a unlucky few, giga have been very good to me.

However my P6T Se has been flawless at 4ghz.

I use a p6t deluxe v2, its a bit like my previous s775 p5q deluxe, boringly reliable (a great thing) great bios layout, easy to overclock on, the only thing im wary off is asus's warranty service. But lately ive seen more people on this forum reporting faults with gigabyte boards, thankfully they have a uk centre for rma.

Is any sense to go for P6TD version ? Is more expensive - and cannot see any much upgrades compare to Deluxe…
The two are almost identical. In fact I get the feeling Asus just decided to change the name. I went for the P6TD as the price difference between that and the P6T Deluxe V2 was so small; it didn't seem worth buying the older model that was no longer in production just to save £2 or so. I'm happy with the P6TD so far.

That true – deferent’s in prize is minimal, I didn’t know that P6T Deluxe V2 is not in production any longer…. In fact I really interesting in Rampage Extreme and only prize is stopping me go for that – I realize that I will not use 100% of Rampage for my everyday usage of PC.. that why I really interesting on RAMPAGE GENE, but I read so much different opinions, that on the end probably will buy some ASROCK :D

Now comes to - ATX or mini ATX... ???
