Contract Question

I currently have the Samsung Tocco Ultra on Orange, from Car Phone Warehouse

I am paying £40 a month.

It is an 18 month contract and it runs out in Oct 2010.

I think I have to wait like another 6 months before I can upgrade.

I am bored of my phone and want the iphone.


Someone was saying to me that I can go to a different phone company, like Phones 4 You and see if that can buy me out....?

Can someone shed some light on this please.

totally depends what company you go to mate and how far into the contract u are, i work for o2 and i know that we dont buy out contracts but as you said you might have luck with carphone warehouse ect. just go in and enquire about it but im pretty sure the majority of standalone big comapanys such as o2, orange and vodaphone dont do it but the smaller companys such as 3 might. hope that helps

cant see anyone doing it when you have so long left and such a high price

iphone from ebay or on pay as you go is your best option

Essentially since you are an existing Orange customer you can upgrade to the IPhone early

I'm pretty sure they have had this in place from the beginning so just give them a call and see what they say, you may have to wait until you hit the 12month mark however, im not sure but I am convinced they will happily upgrade you very early to the IPhone as that seems to be what is happening.
