Macbook Pro June 2007 - 4th Battery Time... New MBP me thinks?

Cycles = 71!

Snow Leopard says service battery, and for the 3rd time the battery has dissolved into failure in exactly the same way.

Stays high for a month (99%), drops to 8x%, climbs to 9x% and then finally dies...

Now, this would be my fourth (yes 4th!) battery, and the 3rd time the Laptop will have to go into an Apple store, as the power circuitry in here must have something wrong.

So... new MBP time I think

26 months into a 36 month warranty, so new MBP or new battery... again.

Well the Mac Pro is working perfectly now, I was going to sell it and buy an 8 core when the 12 core variant comes out next year, but i've decided I'll keep it until March 2011 (2 year upgrade cycle!) whereby I'll sell and update.

I was planning on upgrading this MBP in Jan 2010 for Core i7 M, but if apple offer me a new MBP, then i'll grab it and shove some money at it to get an upgrade.

See what applecare and the store have to say!

Edit: It's back at 83% and Snow Leopard says everything is good.
