I've had anub down in my old guild over a month ago now, its not a hard fight, just takes people moving correctly, Vashj was harder a lot harder.


I've personally nearly had Yogg+0 pre 3.2 in ulduar gear, we was getting into p3.

Now with ToC gear and a new guild might take people a while to learn it, but DPS should be more than enough. Need people to learn how to not get insane and still dps the boss.
 
Im getting that urge to go back... I think its a combination of cold nights and staying in a lot more that does it! I did the same thing this time last year!

Anub 25man HM down with my new guild :) Was actually more epic than my first kill of this. Was there first kill, and the cheers on vent was insane, my mum had a go at me this morning for being to loud :P

Tanks died at 10%, 3x army of dead, let adds burrow, and full out nuke! warrior dps taunted and SW'd, was soo epic in the end.

Moving to yogg+0 now :) Now that is a fun fight :D

We are currently on Anub 25man HM, could I ask if you used any specific sites or reference for tactics I could take a look at and compare?

God this makes me wish I could play it again; damn house for not being built yet and subsequently no internet!!
 
That was part of the reason I stopped, I just raided and logged out, didn't have any friends left and zero interest left after having to do naxx again, I tried to stick at it until we finished it and got our drakes but after a warrior pulled aggro on about 10% on KT all going good one week and died when there was no rush I just gave up and had had enough. Can't ever see me getting back into it really, we'll see if I get into Cataclysm beta and how that is.

I could not give the game the attention I would want to right now anyway, I always played at a very "elite" level.
 
if i did go back it would be as a very casual type of play, just to have a good laugh on it no seriousness about it at all.

i dont have the time to be super committed to it.

I always used to be a hardcore raider, but since I settled down with my girlfriend I have to give other things priority. I might be able to play quite a number of hours here and there, but sometimes have to sign out at the drop of a hat, which obviously doesn't work well with raiding.

Consequently I'm pretty bored with the whole thing now - got lots of level 80s, lots of gold, but nothing to do. I think my account and original Collector's Edition may be going up on an auction site in the near future.
 
Damn, had a really good raid on anub 25man hc today. Previous best was 12.5%

First try we took him to 7.5%.

We had lots that were below 5%.

3 Tries before the end the raid died with him at 200k hp (0.9%)

This boss is a pain! :P

When at 3/4% let the adds burrow, then EVERYONE dps, throw all c/ds on the mt and healers nuke too, DKs pop AOTD, once under 3/4% its a down everytime, just make sure you use ur servival stuff. I'm saying this I've had a wipe at 40k :(

And our kill otherday only had 4 alive at the end.

Keep it up mate! your get him down soon. as soon as p3 starts, its all about getting the raid stable again, once thats done its down.
 
Problem is the mt doesnt die at 1% he dies before that and we are just unlucky. Whats even worse is, we have had normally 1 person die quite early in p3. If they didnt its enough dmg to kill him :P

Yeh we will get him tonight im sure.
 
We got Yogg +1 down last night :D

I have to say it was fantastic when he went down and we all got the spam for the achievement and the even better achievement "Glory of the Ulduar Raider" ! :D We was so happy to get them rusted proto drakes :)
It was such a fun fight I have to say, apart from P1 I hate that phase :p But yea we was getting some really smooth attempts at P2. We finally got some luck and got the Ebon Blade type room as a first portal phase (which I think is by far the best one) we took about 10seconds if that to nuke the adds down and start murdering the brain. We nearly had it down in one portal run. But needless to say got it down on the second. Once we got to P3 it was smooth sailing really. There was like 6mins on enrage timer so we took it easy and made sure we didnt make any mistakes. Last thing we needed was to reach it and then loads of people go insane and wipe the raid.

We had a fantastic run at Alaglon too we died at 10% :( we got him to 15% and then got a big bang, I think we all was quite confused and was not expecting another big bang. I'm sure we will get him this coming weekend.

I had a cracking day on wow yesterday, first off I got the Green Proto drake which I was dead happy about :) I then got the Tiny Emerald Whelp drop and then to top it all off we got Yogg +1 down and got the Rusted Proto drake.

I had a decent day yesterday. Tanked my way through 5 heroics and all of Arachnid quarter and up to Gluth in Stinky Quarter until we called it a night.

Gear is getting better!
