dirt 2 benchmarks dx9 vs dx 11

this is why im sticking with dx10 as dx 11 is just as good/bad as this is..by the time they sort dx 11 out..dx 12 will be on the horizon..dx 11= few minor effects and small increase in shading and polygons..zzZZzz..i ll stick with what i got as my setup will still give me better performance than 99% of dx 11 setups,as long as i can play bad company 2 with max detail and a CONSTANT 60fps then im happy..i dont care about any other game tbh..if it can run bc 2 at this then any other game will run great also....dx11== red herring:D

Eh? Have you read anything about DX11?
 
Don't bother with the patch files, I copied them into the game directory to see what they did and detail quality and performance seemed reduced. Lost about 10 frames in the benchmark.

This is not an official demo, it's a leaked beta so performance may well be much better come release day.

There is a difference between Dx9 and Dx11, Dx11 runs 30 frames slower :D
 
i dont mean to rain on your parade 5770 guys, but they are crap, there classed as the low end dx11 gpus. and your all wondering why your only getting 30fps with them.

what are you on about? my 5770's in Xfire beat a single 5870 in nearly everything. Read up on something before you embarass yourself.
 
Ran the benchmark 65 average/58 min, 1680x1050-8xAA all settings maxed, in game averaged about 65 and never dips below 55.

Specs

i7920@4Ghz HT on
5870@ 950 GPU MEM 1240

Very pleased with the performance and there is practically no performance hit going from 2xAA to 8xAA, them 32 ROPS kick AA in da ass.
 
Are you guys making sure to set to ultra for everything? I've redone the bench at 1680x1050 (as that seems to be the res of the 5870 owners on here) and I get 40-60fps.
