the missus just asked me for a watch. I told her she has a perfectly good clock on the cooker in the kitchen. Why she needs to carry one around when she shouldn't be leaving the kitchen is beyond me...

When asked what I wanted by all my family, I think I settled for Stephen Kings latest book, the latest River Cottage book and couple of music CDs.....got everything else I want / need so don't see the point of making people waste their money on me.

No doubt there will be a couple of 'extras' in there as suprises on the day....I have my money on shirt and trousers, I really need to make the effort to dress up a bit better for work.
