New Audi A8 unveiled

Shall we just talk about the A8 instead?

I mean I dont mind, we can make a 4 page fight over a passing comment aimed at none of you guys anyway, or we can discuss the A8. Your call I guess?
 
Exterior looks fairly classy, if a tad unremarkable. Interior...never been a fan of beigey woody cars...yuck! I'm sure you can spec nice interiors though and it looks up to usual Audi build standards.
 
I think it looks ok. The flagship model being that similar in design to the rep mobile would probably put me off... then again I'm more likely to be seen chaving up an old Skoda than buying an Audi A8 so I doubt the opinions of people like me really register on their radar!

The interior does look fantastic though apart from the "shaped like the thrust lever on a powerboat" gear stick. Great idea guys :confused: Is that meant to appeal to the mid life crisis managing director?

Exactly, so it's closer to the one he actually owns than many others' yet it's his you have a problem with.

And I do care about modifying other people's images without permission, I just don't care about yours.

You seem to be confused (as is your habit on these forums, from what I can gather ;)). It was not me that got my y-fronts in a twist about the sig in question.

And thats the irony, because it isn't my picture, somebody else made it ;) Somebody who has voiced his concerns at you theiving his image but you ignored it. Personally, I don't care. But he does.
 
If whoever 'voiced their concerns' directly requested that I remove the image from my signature and proved to me that they created the image, I don't remember it.

Once this forum has rules that you cannot copy other people's images for use in signatures, I will certainly remove the image. However, that will be an interesting move to enforce due to the number of people using images of cars, women, scenery etc. without the permission of the person that created the image.

But back on topic, in the picture for the gear selector, does it look like it has no "stalk" bit? it looks too low and flat?
 
as said , looks like a massive a4 . rather like the new 7 series tho.

The A8 has always looked like a massive A4, nothing new here. Very lazy change in design which IMO will mean that residuals will not be hit too hard on the old model. Even the interior is largely the same.
