So far I think FF has put a fair few of us to shame, well, me for sure
With the exception of I get around and mame![]()
That wasn't my intention - 10 years is a long time, and I've done a lot in my life. I've been lucky to have been given opportunities, but also always taken the chance to actually rise to the challenge and say "yes" to new things.
A lot of my "achievements" are what some people do as part of their daily life - so it's not an achievement for them. However for me it very much was - all the things I've done are things that are out of the ordinary for my life - or at least what I think is out of the ordinary for my life.
Some of it was done owing to good fortune, fortitude, curiosity, but also because I went out of my way to achieve some of these things.
For example I don't own my own place. I'm not married - those are 2 big things that change your life completely. I've put different priorities in my life - lived the life and worried little about the consequences. I'm changing my outlook now and living a more "quiet" life as I touch on the 30s. However from 2000 to 2010 I went from being a 20yrd old to a 30yr old - a lot of opportunities present themselves in those times, with uni, and many social groups as well as different careers etc...
It's not for everyone, I know some people who got married very young and settled down to a regular life early on. That just wasn't for me - I've always been a little bit selfish from that point of view - clocked up lots of debt, made lots of mistakes with women, made lots of mistakes with friends and people I know/knew.. however I wouldn't change a thing - I don't live with regret, just lessons learnt.
Hmm that's a little bit over the top in terms of analysis! Back to work anyway!
