dirt 2 benchmarks dx9 vs dx 11

Ok so it wasn't using both cards when I was getting the low low fps.. I'm now getting between 33-38 on Ultra settings at 1920x1200.. I was expecting more than that tbh.

Someone please slap me and tell me I shouldn't be getting better with 5770 crossfire? :p

Afterburner is displaying the DirectX version as DX10 on my G15 screen though :confused:

I would have expected you to get the same as a 5870, you are running the 9.11 dirt 2 hotfix drivers yes?

Might be that PCI-E 1.0/1.1 16x slot only running at 4x hampering you. :p

Don't start.. thats been preying on my mind since I bought the sodding things :p

Definately something not right here!! How can I stop it from running in DX10 mode?

MSi afterburner is also showing usage of 70% of one GPU and 50ish% of the other.

I ran the ingame benchmark and its showing..
min_fps="21.831593" av_fps="27.874048"

*bangs head against wall*

Hmm... if I use the recommended "auto settings" it chucks along at 20-25 fps?
at 1920x1200 res.

The only way I can get it into decent figures is to use "ultra low"... its a bit odd?

Am I missing something - I can't seem to find any benchmark option in the game or shortcuts etc. Is there a separate app for that similar to crysis?

Go into Options, then graphics settings and its right at the bottom of the list (the benchmark)

Your chugging issue seems similar to mine...
