Free game giveaway

Well I quit my job because I was depressed about 4 weeks ago working as a mortgage advisor and now I have no money and probably wont be getting anything for christmas off anyone as I am single and dont have any friends, I have pearents who I live with but they dont have any money either because of the ressesion, they get paid, they pay the bills, they have nothing, these days I'm lucky if we have food in that I need coz I eat allot but theres hardly ever anything in appart from pasta anyway which I like but gets boring eating the same thing everyday.
 
Give it to an orphanage somewhere, that way you can have a whole load of kids who really hate you because their ten year old pentium won't run the thing.

This is why it's a bad idea to make the criteria for getting a game to write why you think you should have it. People make stuff up. If this guy really was living off pasta because he couldn't afford anything else why would he have a PC capable of running Dirt 2.

Just my 2 cents, just write every name in a hat and draw one at random, fairest way. Either that or do some sort of quiz but that might be kind of unfair depending on what the question is (older people have more knowledge etc, and people cheat on google).

That makes no sense whatsoever, I explained I have quit my job and I explained I live with my pearents that have nothing because of the ressesion, maybe your fine and the ressesion hasnt effected you and your household but we're suffering, and I bought this PC last december when I did have a job and when I did have cash.

I think his point was that if you're suffering that badly, why do you still have a PC capable of playing this (fairly demanding) game, surely you'd have sold it or at least bits of it like the graphics card so you could afford to eat? :p

edit - I'll point out here that I don't actually care, I was just trying to clarify what he was getting at :p

Totally agree, this is basically asking people to write the best begging story, it's just demeaning imo.
Names in a hat is much more fair.
Or even a real competition, like best photoshop piccy of a car or something.

It's the OP's game though so I guess he can do what he wants with it.
Don't get me wrong, it's awesome that the OP is being so generous, it just gives me a bad taste in my mouth reading all the 'omg I'm so poor I can't afford a belt and hold my pants up with string and I eat out of the neighbours dustbin, but I have a £1k computer to run this badboy game!'


Did I mention it's my birthday tomorrow? :D
 
I'm so poor my kids get up half an hour before they go to bed and after their breakfast of cardboard and gruel they walk to school barefoot on broken glass for five miles while I work 25 hours a day down t' Mill for tuppence a'penny a day.

If you had no money, why would you make a thread asking what games are coming out in the next three months?
