I look forward to seeing how you get on, in this example I am playing the role of the dOOm monger and I am expecting whatever issues you had trouble with to still plague you, I've never seen or experienced a faulty CPU before so I am intrigued . . . . if you system proves to be running glitch free and to your satisfaction and you then put the older Tri-Core back in and the troubles begin again I will have learnt something! :D

I suspect you were just looking for any *justification* to blow a wad on a new chip! :p

I had a 2140 fail on me a few weeks ago. Random reboots and blue screens. changed for another and working fine.

its normal all cpus waver the speed, its to do with the motherboards generate clock, some do it slightly over & some do it slightly under.
