Hi I was looking at the Hanns.G HG281D 28" Widescreen LCD Monitor for my rig in signature.

I noticed that it does not have a DVI input but the ratio is 1920x1200? Is 1920x1080 not the maximum resolution a DVI to HDMI or indeed just an HDMI cable can handle?

If I'm right then is it not pointless for the res to be 1920x1200?

Sorry if I am being really thick!

Cheers :)

It will be fine, DVI can go up to much higher resolutions, and HDMI is just DVI with sound basically. The monitor is designed for that res. You'll need a DVI-HDMI cable from your PC, which are pretty easy to get, one may even be included with the monitor (don't hold your breath though!).

28" is pretty big..!

Yeah as above it can happily do 1920*1200, I have one at that res atm. and alexhull24 is right in saying that the dvi to hdmi cable is included, or at least was included in mine.

Hope you enjoy the monitor as much as I do :D

BTW if you hadn't noticed I accidently missed an E in the thread title and put rally. Check it out if you missed it. It's hilarious
