Out in Orlando at the moment and its been very muggy out here today and we have just been put on to a tornado watch alert.
The air is so warm and very windy and have been told the air will suddely go very still, quite spooky but everyones eyes are peeled.
If one appears nearby, we have been told to get to the basement as soon as ..... beats any disney adrenelene ride :D

I was out in June this year different time of year I know but the weather changes very quickly out there. One minute sun shine and raining and wind the next. Just listen to the advice of the locals and where you should head to if problems happen. Not sure where your staying but most hotel will tell you where to go if they dont have a shelter.

Disney has a basement, must be huge.

I believe it has. :)
I do know that the whole of Disney-world has many rooms and interconnecting tunnels with roadways underneath the park. These are used for maintenance and cleaning teams also Disney characters to move around the park out of public view when required.

I was caught up in a hurricane in Cuba a few years ago. We were in Havana just before it hit, they flew us out a matter of hours before it hit the shores in a small jet. Circling above Havana trying to find a safe path out in a small jet was a scary experience i can assure you.

We arrived at our next hotel in the Holguin province just before it hit. Basically we had sit in our bathroom (no windows) untill it passed.

Luckily for us Havana got the worst of it and our area came of lightly. It was still a complete mess outside the next day though.

Haha i love the sudden massive thunderstorm in the afternoon in florida. In the waterpark when you suddenly see a flash and massive boom of lighting then you hear on the speakers 'Everybody out of the water!!'

I remember (going back many years) we were in Orlando just before one hit, the storm the night before was insane, thats the only time I've seen lightening hit the ground.

That was the last night we were there, we flew out and by the time we were back in England and had recovered from the jet lag we turned on the tele and it was all over the news.

Whatever you do, make sure you're outside when it happens, armed with video camera and loaf of hovis, to prove it's you. Offer the Hovis to the Tornado Goddess (Windypuff) and film yourself doing it.

Upload it to youtube and then paste the link in this thread.

Best o' luck.

More likely to be a hurricane/cyclone in Florida isn't it?

Tornados are cool though, take pics!
