Anyone else finding it hard to find games that don't lag badly. I`m finding that even at 6/7pm if there is a US player in the game, he will always be the host and there will be 15 players with 1-2 bars and him with 4 
Do they ping their US servers to decied host or something equally retarded?
If i start warping in games now I just quit. I know its bad for team balance, but I just can't take being killed because im standing still on other peoples screen when im about to get a killstreak. I play to have fun, not act as easy kills for people who live near a US host......

If I get in a newly formed lobby then I get host a lot of the time. Once you get host just don't leave as you will get host game after game.
20Meg virgin seems to help as Hilly has the same connection and gets host a lot too.
Just tried the Witch build, lots of fun, does feel a bit game breaking when you dive off a cliff, run away and knife someone in the back, but the room was full of scots who cried out with joy at any kill they got, so it made it worth it 
Fun build for finishing off a session, but wouldn't wanna do it as a primary build!

Anyone got any tips on using attack helicopters? I've called it in around 10 times and got a total of about 1 kill, it just seems to hover around wherever the enemies are not. Other people seem to get about 5 kills per chopper.
And what's up with the M16? It doesn't want to kill anyone.

The chopper usually hovers around for a while, in my experiences most people run indoors so it can't get them, or get shot down/killed by someone, respawn with a launcher and take it the hell out too quickly
Are you serious about the M16? Its one of the most user-friendly weapons in the game, throw yourself stopping power on and see how that goes? Usually 1 3 shot burst is enough to kill pretty much anyone, gonna need a headshot to take out those on painkillers, but its a godly weapon, liking the ACR now too, but the M16 is definitely my weapon of choice with dual .44's!

I just played this game on the PC and the difference is astounding. Despite being an avid PC gamer for many years, it simply plays worse than the console version. It really quite surprised me.
I'm pretty sure I had stopping power on as I usually do but maybe not, I have to hit people with 2 - 3 bursts to kill them, don't think I've ever killed anyone with a single burst (except for headshots), I just keep hitting people and they don't die, the games I played trying to level it up for attachments I did really badly it made my blood boil when I kept shooting people and they didn't die when I know for a fact that I could have taken them out easily with even an MP5.Are you serious about the M16? Finding the M4 highly superior at the moment, I never used it before and leveled up the Tavor assuming that it would be better, when I switched to the M4 I was doing a lot better straight off...
As an afterthought I had the same problem with the P90, I just seemed to be shooting the crap out of people and they would not die, I like my vector better than the P90.

Hmm fair do's mate, I just gelled perfectly with the M16, just down to what works for whome I guess, no/very little recoil, uber stability etc on it just seems to work for me, as a true m16 fanboy i'd say give it a go again at some point, but if you're doing well with other guns and happy, thats cool
Just got my faster melee attacks for my .44 this evening, next milestone, 300 kills, should be an entertaining time, I think i'll let that one come as time passes...

you have completely and i mean completely missed my point.
i'm not trying to convince you i'm right, because the whole bloody thing is entirely subjective and i'm not saying the game is crap i'm simply saying if you put both CoD4 and MW2 down in front of me and told me i could only play one it'd be CoD4 every time, i just got on better with it (and WaW), I still like MW2 and i've just spent the last 3 hours blitzing spec ops alpha-charlie (as well as one of the final echo ones) on 3 star it's brilliant fun but there is a lot of things that they changed that i do not like.
the biggest thing killing it for me at the moment is the party chat, i can't even play my personal favourite mode (HC TDM) if friends (even if they aren't playing MW2) are in my party and it's ****ing me off something chronic.
on an alternate note if anyone wants to add me for multiplayer i'll happily give it a go if it's a nice big group, it might improve the experience somewhat.

It's just bad, take the Harrier strike instead.
Get 5 mates on and lack of party chat isn't an issue. We kicked arse last night boys, 17 wins in a row, still only got 4 fmj kills on the m16 though.
I'm gonna master the m16 and acr hopefully. I don't even bother with smgs. Maps are to big/open to warrant using them over an assault rifle. Finally got akimbo pp2000s too, great for clearing out a room of opponents rather than using an m16.

once i get every challenge for the m16 i'm ditching it for good, which is a shame because I felt like I was a destroyer of worlds with it on cod4. Now i'm just a destroyer of my own kdr. Like so many ppl have said before, IW have turned it into a piffling little pea-shooter for mw2. the m4a1 feels a lot more powerful all round and i'll be using that.

I solved this whole issue by getting rid of all my friends. I now only have one friend so I've completely solved the problem.
