Left 4 Dead 2 (Xbox 360) for £15!

They took my money too and then refunded it.

Does that not mean they have formed a contract by taking money?

Worth having a go with this then, as I have no refund and the money was taken out yesterday:

Dear Sir/Madam

On Saturday 28th November at 16:10 I received my confirmation email for a copy of Left 4 Dead 2 on Xbox 360 which I had ordered at £15.

On Monday 30th November at 16:37 I received an email informing me that this was a pricing error, that my order would be cancelled and most importantly 'You have not been charged for this game and the remainder of your order will be dispatched as normal.' I was disappointed with how you did not honour this deal but glad that no money would be taken out of my account.

At 19:30 on the same day I received a 3rd email to confirm that this order had been cancelled. I assumed this was the end of this issue.

However, having just looked at my bank account, I noticed that yesterday the sum of £15 was taken from my account as a Debit Card Transaction from TESCO ENTERTAIMENT. Having checked my order history, it says this order is still cancelled.

Because the money has now been taken from my account, although you said it will not, I assume you have changed your mind and decided to honour the deal. I look forward to hearing from you.

Yup, same thing here as well, £15 taken out yesterday and then refunded to me today. I wonder how much interest they would have made holding everyone's £15 overnight.

Would be funny to see if someone said because they have now taken the money they have now gone overdrawn which is near a £30 fee with their bank. ;)

They took £15 out and its made me go overdrawn, not been refunded yet, not happy.

Is stated in the cancellation email.
Surely you would have been overdrawn if they had honoured the order (for someone who was so convinced it was a pricing error, why did you even order it?)

If your bank balance is so close to £0 maybe you should not be ordering computer games, a valuable lesson to be learnt here, I think.

As always, the old price mistake, which it was, will be fun to see the people kick off and bring up lawyers and they have a right to sell for it because I ordered it.
Are you kicking off ? :D

I phoned up Tesco entertainment, apparently, because the game was in stock - hence available to dispatch it, the money automatically gets taken from the account, but because it was cancelled it will be refunded straight away - but may take 3-4 days to get back into your account, i tried the 'but you've made me go overdrawn' blag too, they said if i provide a copy of my statement, they will cover charges lol. Wish it had made me go overdrawn now, that'd have learned them for making pricing errors.

This is why, in cases like these, it's better to use email. It hasn't made me overdrawn, but then it should because they shouldn't be taking it out in the first place like they said, its silly how their system works, should take money out when its dispatched!

No, I ordered it on Saturday 27th, then get an email on the 30th l saying money WILL NOT be taken order cancelled, I bought a Christmas present on Tuesday 1st and today bank statement shows £15 taken today. Makes it worst its in writing that I would not be charged for the game.

I am kicking off because they state on their terms and conditions money will be only taken when time of dispatch. Every price mistake I have gone for compaines have never taken the money.
