Twilight Fans are pretty hardcore

I liked the first film, havent seen the second one, but OMG its only a film and actors in it. I have some crazy girls at work worshiping Edward, I LOL at them in my mind, they behave like there were 13 again.

Erm, I liked the first Twilight movie (haven't seen the 2nd one).

Maybe I've been supressing my teenage angst too much!

My GF already hates me for moaning througout the whole first movie repeatidly saying

GAY GAY GAY ... oh wow he sparkles in the sun? GAY
 
TBH blade vs edward or the vampires in twilight would get murdered since half of his stuff don't effect them. Plus, I really hate blade from the films a lot.

As for the whole film thing - meh. It's just one of those things, it will blow over. I do quite like the movies, they aren't amazing but worth watching for me. (I'm a guy).
 
Twilight is a wierd thing.

None of the actors or crew involved expected it to become as massive as it has. It wasnt even one of the first books, america has a TV series that is almost exactly the same as twilight on the CW, called the Vampire Diaries (iirc?) and its based upon a series of book that preceeds the twilight books by a good 20 years or something.

Same thing goes with the cirque du freak film that was out recently - called the vampires assistant. That was based on a book that was out well before the twilight series as well.

THe actor that plays Bella - Kirsten Stewart has taken a load of flack from fans for shunning the limelight, ignoring fans at premieries and generally being pretty adverse to the publicity and notority that the films brought her.

Dont think any of them were prepared for how big it was going to be, and how stupidly obsessed the fans were going to be.

Go back a couple of decades and its like the obsession with donny osmond. He had some seriously crazy obsessed fans. People actually questionned if it was healthy for girls to be that obsessed with him and some were asking for him to quit !

There's quite a difference between a fat woman being a fan of someone and a planned terror attack against them.

Oh noes, not that guy from Twilight, this will bring the country to its knees!
