well news doinng the rounds a very big patch is due. was announced on 4o2 twitter pg now its vanished :p it was by himself aswell . the plot thickens
 
Anyone else experiencing severe lag tonight? My connection is fine but i get hit registry lag. Takes twice as many bullets to kill someone despite my connection having no problems.
 
Wow, those Stealth bombers are lethal. Got one from an air drop on Afgan. Selected the middle of the map (i was standing all the way south where the rocks where) and it bombs the hell out of me. And man, they are huge! :D

Has anyone had or does have an executable running in the background in taskmanager called sys16.exe ?
Im trying to narrow down where it has come from, as it is a password/keystroke stealer it may have come from mw2 if the info about hackers uploading them to iwnet is to be believed.

I only noticed this because i could not view any websites after i had launched steam, the only way to resolve the problem was to restart my pc. After i had deleted sys16.exe the problem no longer occured.
 
Hmmmmm I have been getting virus detections while playing MW2. It keeps minimising my screen and only when playing MW2. Is this the problem identified by Frenzy.

I had the minimizing problem. This has fixed it for me:

Modern Warfare 2 will minimize randomly on its own.
Solution 1 : Do a virus scan.

Solution 2 : AVG Anti-Virus ? - If you upgraded from 8.5 to 9.0 without making a clean install this issue can arise.

Download the file called "avg_free_stf_en_90_704a1756" (google it)

uninstall AVG and completely remove all user settings (there's an option for it when you uninstall it)

reboot computer and run the new file

I've quite often been the victim of some rather dubious tactics. Like me trying to sneak up on a sniper (with me having a silenced weapon (not that i used it), ninja and cold blooded perks) - and him turning around just as I'm about to take him out and insta headshotting me. Lots. no matter what was going on in front of him.

Record a killcam and upload it to Youtube. Infinity Ward seem to be relying on community reporting more than the useless Valve Anti-Cheat system.
