hey, just worked out the cheapest build using components on overclockers, this comes with everything you would need

comes with operating system, 80GB HDD, 2GB and dual core CPU!

anyone beat that???????
 
I reckon thats beatable, but you have used alright componants there. Not great but they are not the bottom on the barell. Infact I have that CPU. It was the mutts nutts in 2006 when I bought it.

yeh it is beatable, there is cheaper ram but you can't add to basket because theres no eta, if you could you would be knocking off around £14 so down to £270 :) now thats cheap

I would then proceed to play doom on the highest settings.

with a dualcore it comes to 216 inc VAT (not using the socket 939 :P)

did one with an atom 330 which came out at 206 and has onboard 9600 graphics :P i mean the cpu is obviously lacking a bit and it has no future upgradability but would be nice for a little video/dvd player and surfing the net

yeh it doesnt, i realised after which is why i said 216 with dualcore i just couldnt be assed doing another ss.

I literally just clicked the cheapest processor without looking at socket
