A 25FPS DVD movie must look like a slide show to you then. I wish I had cyber synthetic eyes and be able to see 60 FPS never mind 300
 
whether the eye can detect it it does make a massive difference.

i can tell difference between 60 and 90 quite easily. did set mine to 125 in game through config but now theyve locked it back to normal again :confused:

why do you think theyve locked it ? its because it give you a good advantage over people with low fps or stock.

theyve just gone for te masses but the silly thing is nearly everyone as soon as they get a cod game goes straight in to console and /com_maxfps 125 or 250
so to lock it is just retarded.

not being funny but if you cant tell difference between 250 fps in cod and 60 give up :p
 
not about what the eye can detect its about having higher fps makes the game play better give you quicker fire rate slightly , better jumps , less noise even when running how does biology effect that :D

its been the same in games for ages.yet the old eye cant see difference arguement pops up time and time again. i change my fps soley for the above type advantages like many others i know .

maybe you should have studied fps games instead on your second day :p
 
All of your above which is controlled by an engine which artificially trys to decide the best result for 2 people playing P2P from miles part, your 300FPS will still make little difference, your computer is not in control.
 
I think the difference comes from a higher average frame rate? So when the fps drops it drops to say 60 from 200 where a game running at 60 drops to say 20....

I've played games for years, i can see a difference the higher the frame rate.

That explains it, and yes its cod2 but still applies to MW2 and Cod$. :)

When MW2 first came out i played with 250fps, then they stopped that so i played with maxfps 0, thay stopped that and locked it to 85 (default) A few days ago they removed the command from the config completly. :(

Now the game feels 'slower' ;)

And are now upset they stopped you cheating?

its not cheating been that way for like ten yrs !

almost every cod player i know of or have played will tell you command.

333 is not allowed they just capped it like the others originally hopefuly they remove it in future the stock fps cause it sucks playing handicapped for no good reason other than making it console like.

its like capping a ferrari engine to 50 mile hr just cause they want it like that . utter pointless bs . is cs s capped to 80-85?
 
why do people spend loads on their pc's then drop all the gfx settings down to get their fps so high, may aswell buy a cheap pc to start with.

i personally like the eye candy so i set everything as high as i can.

whos dropping there settings to lowest ?

this is the point your being capped for no good reason.

your rig for instance will play 125 constant which will be a lot smoother and play generally a lot better every game , now theyve locked the console and the fps you have to play at lower settings just cause theyve copied the console version.

go play cod 4 with 60 fps then go play with 125 and 250 if you can get it (all legal no kickable commands and used by hundreds of thousands of people )

tell me you cant tell the difference.

im not the person who locked the very command that 90 percent of pure cod players will have enabled . so basically there just makinng your high end pc play like a eggbox! why?

i run at 1680x1050 all max settings (my max res on 22)

so how are people hacking in mw2 now with no console :p

random joes can do same commands there not illegal they are sound and have been since cod 1 and even back to quake days ! whether it is known about is a different matter .
 
Sounds very much like a toys out of the pram situation because a hardware advantage or technical advantage that Joe Bloggs wouldn't be aware of can no longer be abused.

Take heart... at least when X kills Y they can do so knowing they are on a level playing field now :rolleyes:.

it does give you an advantage but i wouldn't says its unfair or cheating

its like me using a high dpi gaming mouse and someone else using a generic ball mouse i would no doubt have an advantage over that person but i would hardly class that as cheating

Good analogy. The FPS sweet spot is common knowledge. 333fps is ridiculous though
