HTC says its fully SD 2.0 compatible, so it should support 32GB. If it doesn't, then its not SD 2.0 compatible.

Just noticed SDXC (SD 3.0) will be pretty awesome, 32GB - 2TB!

A lot of home insurers only insure non smart phones for some bizzare reason (I assume cost) so be very careful reading the small print as just because your home insurer covers phones doesn't mean it covers the phone you have.
 
Is now a particularly bad time to buy an iPhone?

I was thinking of getting one at xmas and a new contract. I'm currently with 3 and I wouldnt really fault them on anything. I heard they may be offering the iPhone mid 2010.. thats a bit too long, but when are the Tesco contract details out?
 
So again, i ask, has anyone had both HTC HD2 and iphone3Gs and able to give us a hint what both are like?

If not, fair enough, but as both are the same price in France, like to have an idea what both are like, good and bad points.

PaulyD on these forums has come from a 3GS to an HD2 and loves it. My best friend got a 3GS two days before I got my HD2 so we regularly do 'real' tests (esp. as I would never get the iPhone due to its camera, even if it were better on other things).

The customisation of the HD2 really ****** all over the 3GS. Myself and PaulyD spent pretty much all of yesterday of the XDA Dev forums applying tweaks and themes and apps etc.

I might write a fuller review this weekend while I'm at my parents house and bored :).

Apple dictate the price (brand image?). I suspect it does not matter who is selling them, they will be within a few pence of each other. VAT goes up after xmas.
If tesco bring them out at the same price as everyone else without some mega deal then you'll have waited for nothing and will be paying more for it (handset plus monthly cost).

Now is the time to get one, imo.

That's great and all and once upon a time I, too, might have enjoyed spending my free time hacking my fone. Now, I just want one that is uber reliable and with some means of not getting bored after week 2. Only time will tell if the iphone was the right choice.

For me, the HD2 sitting atop windows was a no go and I don't dislike WM6.
Did I use a HD2? Nope. I did what I could to objectively review both.
Watch out for a 3GS on ebay next month :p :p

You don't have to "hack" the phone if you don't want too, it's just personalisation.;)
