Suspending someone from using a game exploit is ridiculous and I highly doubt there is truth to that story.

Really? Funny how the director for policy and enforcement on Xbox Live said it. http://twitter.com/stepto

While IW works on getting the MW2 glitch fixed, people we catch using it will recieve suspensions from LIVE. Play fair everyone. :>

For those asking, cheating suspensions are usually 24 hours for first offense. But egregious cheating can be 2 weeks!

The javeline glitch is annoying. Some american guy was using it last night and we got the usual stick up backside british remark when we had a go at him. They lost the next game when they didnt use it. Im doubtful of the ability to track it unless people use it every game.. havent unlocked javeline yet to wonder if its worth using to get the kills xp bonuses for it..

24 hour ban sounds about right to me. Its spoiling it for other people. I'm aware of the glitch...I know how to do it but I haven't done it because it will annoy others. Some people seem to need this pointed out to them so a quick suspension seems fair to me. Yes the devs shouldn't have left it in but people need to take some responsibility. Just because you can cheat on a game doesn't mean you should.

Equally I understand where your coming from. Its a paid for service and its up to the devs to keep it cheat free and why should paying customers that may be slightly ignorant to the consequences be punished.

My point exactly, and regardless of the source I still very sincerely doubt anyone would actually get suspended.

@Wyrdo

I'm not justifying the exploitation of a glitch, but a suspension is ridiculous in my opinion. It's in the game, it's been released like that, get it fixed asap end of.

I am in charge of releasing software, if our QA department missed a bug however hard to reproduce and the client corrupts their data in the process, the fualt lays with me/us. I see no reason why this is any different

I understand the stats give the game a bit more depth but part of me thinks it ruins games too. Some people become obsessed with them and play the game with the sole intention of protecting/improving their stats, it makes for some very boring and annoying games when you get a few of those types in a game. I don’t think that’s how games should be played.

really didnt enjoy playing this last night down to the extent i turned it off and watched scrubs instead... every time id get into a game it would kick me out after 2/3 matches then i got into a big team death match and once we lost i recived 3 messages of people on the other team sending abuse... unfortunatly the only option is to block them but it doesnt take away the fact you cant report them in any way.

im playing on PS3 but i dont seem to of noticed any of the above glitches but i do agree there seems to be more emphesis on killing each other then completing the objective.

I must admit I'm becoming very guilty of this myself.
In the beginning, I kept on running for objectives like a madman not stopping till I capture a node and such like.
KDR is at 0.70 which looks a bit embarrassing in the Barracks. Now I tend to camp out more, to try and get the figure up :(

RE the stats I think they should come as standard locked. You can then choose to unlock them if you wish by a few simple clicks. If however you wish to lock them again you can and they will be deleted and reset.

When in locked state you come up blank on leader boards.

How does that sound?

Meh, I don't really care about my overall K/D ratio... Does it unlock anything, does anyone I know really care?

I don't care about mine.

If I'm losing, or if I look at the screen and I see I've died more times than I've killed then I chalk it down to having an "off-day" :o

I've only just started playing the SP.

When the start sequence came on the screen, I honestly thought I'd put a Michael Bay film in the machine! :)

Nope, don't believe in using glitches ... it's cheating, but if it's in the game, the gamer should not be held liable.
Indeed I don't see the logic behind this, if something is in the game then it's not the player's fault for using it, whether it is a glitch or a feature.

It's like people glitching the artillery in Bad Company it's ****ing annoying but the dev's put it in there and haven't taken it out, can't really blame a guy for playing the game he bought the way it was sold to him.

K/D actually ruins the game for me :p I have above 2.0 KD and I feel like I can never try any fun or quirky tactics incase it lowers my KD. I also feel so angry when I die because of it.

Fair enough you can just say "ignore it then" but then you look like a noob if someone looks at your scores :p

Who cares? :p

My k/d ratio is shot to hell, cause I play to have fun and experiment with combos/tactics in the game :p

And that's when you school them ;)

When I used to play Halo 3 people would always rip on me and the person I played with because our ranked rank was low (because when we got back into H3 we didn't have half the map packs) though our playlist ranks were high and/or maxed out. People would comment, insult and laugh. But overwhelmingly those that trash talked about it were the ones who lost worst and most often. :)
