I'm getting a new laptop within the next 2 weeks or so - It cost a lot - so much so, when I made the payment I'm sure I heard my debit card cry a little bit

Saying you're going to give a code away and then show the most interest in the first person that offers you a swap is hardly giving it away as you advertised.

Either give it away, or don't. It's not fair to pass judgement on who "deserves" the game more than everybody else. In fact I find that the fairest way is to say " first person to post gets code", otherwise you have to choose someone out of the list of people, a difficult decision for you and incredibly unfair on everybody else.

Either give it away fairly or don't give it away at all. People shouldn't put themselves down to this level and practically beg for a game.
