Build a computer for a neighbour buying the lot from OcUK but now Ive lost trust in them.

The case I was sent (Akasa Genesis) heap of junk, had a faulty power switch, cost £16! so no suprise really but it shoulda worked. Cost £10 to send back then OcUK call me saying it got damaged in transit and has a hole in the side and they cant even test it and they want me to pay more money to get the damn thing sent back to here for royal mail to see so I can get money back on insurance. Well annoyed.

So much hassle all for the sake of a £16 case.

PC runs like a dream though, its only an Athlon II 2.8GHz with 4GB DDR3 on an Asus Crossfire mobo but its very fast for what it is. Im impressed with AMD, used to be a fanboy back in the socket A days and hold the world record on air for overclocking a 3500+ Venice Socket 939.

Hopefully it will last a few years.

I ended up getting a Thermaltake £56 one, looks pretty cool IMHO.

The person I built the PC for is very happy with it. Blue LED fan on the front (120mm)

What speed did you reach on air ? I have a Zalman Ultra Quiet cooler cnps10 extreme. Which would probably exceed your record on air lol.

I have an Athlon 3500+ based on a Newcastle. One of the best single core CPU's ever made I recon :D

You derserve to put your components in a better case though. £16 cheap and nasty and prone to dents and holes lol. Pick up a Coolermaster Storm Scout, ( made of solid steel ( and some plastic lol). 2 120mm fans and 1 140mm fan inc / 4 usb ports on the front and a light Off/On switch +plus E-sata port

No, if its a faulty item the retailer pays. At least I always insist they do because they sent me an item not fit for purpose.

I have had 2 faulty items from another e tailer and they arranged the pick up only if there not faulty will you have to pay to get them back

Yeah seriously you have to pay to send it back, its well bad. The retailer should pay for it IMO. Its crazy. Its there fault for either sending faulty goods or DPDs for damaging it in transit.

I got the 3500+ Venice to 3280MHz CPU-Z and 3.4GHz in the BIOS bey
