MSI P55-GD65 in clearance line?

Most OCUK clearance items aren't well enough described for me. SOmeone here but a mobo from clearance that was missing essential parts for it to actually work at all. Unless sales will tell you why it's in clearance I wouldn't risk it.

I did buy my case from OCUK clearance, big discount and not much to go wrong.... Very impressed.

Should say re above having double checked it's a clearance, not a graded item, so should be 'new' with everything.

Yep, it's not marked with B grade or anything.
Another silly question, did anyone tried to stick a x16 ie. full-length graphics card into an open-ended x4 slot? GD65 has one, I plan to degrade my GTX 260 as a physx card there in the far future. Hope the heatsink won't get in the way.

It is possible but you'll need to cut the side out of the x4 slot so the x16 length card can slot all the way in.

A gtx260 is massive overkill for physX though, sell it and get a cheap 9600 or something, pocket the extra cash.

An open-ended slot was designed for not having to be cut out right? For now a GTX 260 is definitely an overkill, so that's why I'm only gonna do it in the far future.:)

Dont bother with clearence motherboards as i didnt and ended up with heaps of problems and there was no parts just the board stay clear.
