Xbox 360 essential buys

because it's better on pc like 90% of 360 games

try reading the OP.
360 essential games, not PC.
i have to wonder why you even felt the need to post about a PC in a console forum.
-1 for you.

In your opinion...

Edit: Seems you say that quite a lot. I take it you're just a graphics whore and by better you mean prettier?

i'd guess at him being a PS3 owner and we all know that you get the PS3 for it's exclusives and all 360 games go to PC at some time.

I own a 360 I am not a fanboy I just think most good 360 games are on pc.
So seeing that he has a gaming pc it's hard to recommend games which will be slightly worse on 360 and more expensive.
For example batman it's surely better to get it for pc as is left4dead 2 modern warfare 2 etc and so on.

:rolleyes:some act you have going there.

if only this were a PC essential buys thread on the PC forum.

People's setups vary greatly though, his PC could be in a study whereas consoles are in a lounge, and may want games that he can just kick back and play on the sofa.

Very much depends on the person and situation whether a game is better on PC or Console, MW2 as you mentioned above is better on 360 for me as I know far more people who play it on that platform than I do on PC, which makes it a more enjoyable experience. The opposite is also true for Left 4 Dead :)

You can't just assume that because someone has a gaming PC they'd rather play all multi-platform games on it.

GTA4 and episodes
Battlefield Bad Company
Rock Band(or 2)

Also, the play and charge station thing is damn useful if you have more than one controller

Game recommendations - All I will say is do not ignore the 360's earlier titles like Kameo, Dead Rising, Condemned, Lost Planet or The Darkness.

Too many people tend to overlook the earlier games, which were amongst the 360's best games.

Edit: Gits, everyone's beated me to it! :o

What do you mean some act lol want pics of the 360 ? no need to start getting sensitive over a console :o I am more than happy to provide you with pictures of my 360 with my forum name written out as you seem convinced I am some ps3 fanboy.

To be fair he has clearly stated on page 1 that he owns left4dead 1 and 2 for pc so he does like his pc gaming.

I just have a hard time recommending him games that will be slightly inferior to the pc version in terms of price graphics and controls and he has a decent pc and clearly plays games on it.

A classic example is somebody recommending tombraider underworld for £12 when it's £4-99 on steam, if you think paying £7 more is worth it for sitting on a sofa then fairplay.

If you had bothered to even look you would have seen that I had recommended some games for 360 on page 1 of the thread where I recommended the following games.

forza 3
tekken 6
fight night round 4
fifa 10
shadow complex
bayonetta ( in january)

Why on earth would I advise someone to pay anywhere from £10-£20 more for a game just for the convenience of being able to sit on a sofa that would be bad advice, move the sofa or pc and bank the £15 saved.

Yeah but the only way to buy the DLC is to get it on X360 thats why. So as I said originally if you like Tomb Raider....... (I do thats why I bought it on PC then bought the 360 version as no other way to get the completed game as the 2 x DLC does make the game feel complete & Eidos also patched the controls & bugs on 360 only ;) )

You must realise some people in the world hate good advice when it tells people not to play on their precious 360 console. Every time someone gives money saving and often truthful advice that points a person in the direction of a better PC version of a 360 game, it makes some guys cry. :(

Mass Effect on PC is superior to the 360 version, I recommend you buy it on that OP as your PC runs it. The DLC is free, The game is cheaper and the frame rate and graphic poppins are none existant.

OMGZ BURN THE HEReTIC HE GAVE SOMEONE SOUND ADVICE

EDIT**

Games I recommend on 360.

Dead Rising
Crackdown
Gears 1 and 2
Mass effect if you dont fancy it on PC

I agree, that is sound and reasonable advice, but it's not all about graphics is it? Some people don't have a PC in their living room and just want to kick back, relax and play a game without downloading/installing/moving their PC, the 360 is a great solution in that circumstance. If you've been working at a desk all day it's nice sometimes not to have to play your games at one.

Anyway, back on topic, my reccomendations, similar to everyone else's:

Forza 3
Gears of War 2 (I know you said you didn't like the first but it is cheap now)
CoD: MW2
The Darkness
Fable 2
GTAIV + DLC
Fallout 3 (if you haven't played on PC)
EDIT: Bioshock (again if you haven't tried it before)
