What are Oslo and Copenhagen Like for a Holiday?

Copenhagen is good for a weekend, but you'll probably run out of stuff to do after a couple of days. Google Tivoli Gardens - it's really nice on a warm spring / summer evening.

It's true what they say about Copenhagen being expensive. I was there on business, so most expenses were covered so I can't remember exactly how much things were costing - but it wasn't cheap!

Also interested, was looking at going to Oslo. I hear it's quite expensive though?

Copenhangen is nice, but as people said, not much to do. If you like walking around, taking in the scenary, go from bar to bar, then it's fine. Not a great deal of architecture from what I remember. Oslo I've only been once but remember not being too impressed. If you want to visit Norway, I can recommend Kristiansand, Stavanger and Bergen, starting south working your way up to Bergen. Very dramatic scenary, lovely people and a far better version of Norway than Oslo is.

Edit. Expensive? You better believe it :(

Copenhagen is really nice but yeah, not a great deal to do.

This.

Was there for a week staying with Friends that live there, stunning city, Tivoli is well worth a visit over a couple of days imo, there's always Freetown Christiania which is amazing and one of my favorite places :D

Be very carful to follow the local rules there though ;)

I generally find Scandinavia expensive - especially alcohol (£6 a pint plus on bad days). But so lovely. And that's just the ladies.

Care to elaborate???

DON'T RUN

There are wild dogs that will eat you, no joke.
The "wild" dogs are actually alright ( I still didn't touch them ) but they're trained to take out people that run, because people that run are either stealing something, the police or stealing drugs.

There are more, but thats the main one.

Oh no photo's but they're is plenty of Graffiti up showing you not to take pictures.

Drop me a mail (in trust) if you want anything more.

Went to Oslo for a long weekend back in Feb and it was a great place to do that sort of thing, but it is seriously pricey. You can get out there for pennies, and we stayed at the Best Western (lovely hotel) for a very reasonable price.
But food and drink is ridiculously expensive - think it was 20 euros just for a middling pizza place in town, 7 euros upwards for a beer (not even a pint!). Luckily we had bought a load of duty free, so we just stayed in the hotel and got bladdered :)

There's plenty to do there - one thing that's not in the guide books is taking the metro up to Frognerseteren, hire a toboggan for the day en route at Voksenkollen and do the 2km toboggan run all day - absolutely brilliant fun!

Not the most stuff to do...but....Scandinavia is probably the highest concentration of incredibly hot girls anywhere in the world!
